After more than a year of virtual communications, finally, the Adrinetbook Project partners met for the first time in person.

On July 27th and 28th, the Municipality of Macerata hosted the project study visit which was attended by the member of each project partner.

The focus of the study visit was to share the state of the art of the projects between the project partners and to see some best practices present in the territory.

On the first day, after the meet and greet, the participants moved to the Macerata Municipality Council Room and participated in the Steering Committee. During the SC, each partner presented the state of the art of their project activities, enlightening the activities already carried out, the ones ongoing, and the upcoming ones. Then, the Zadar County Rural Development Agency presented the guidelines for the upcoming Tourism activities, such as the creation of touristic itineraries based on the digitized cultural goods choosed by the project partners and an Adrinetbook Touristic Itinerary which will link all of them.

 

Fermo Study Visit

In the afternoon, the group moved to Fermo to participate in a study visit of the city’s library, which is very active in digitization and tourism initiatives. Therefore, the participants had the chance to know one of the best cultural heritage valorization practices of Marche territory.

On July 28th, the Project Partners members attended a workshop held by the Marche Region’s experts on tourism and cultural heritage valorization. The speakers presented the best practices carried out by the Marche Region Administration to enhance cultural tourism attractiveness, using several marketing tools, the traditional ones, such as television spots, social media advertising and tour operator promotion, and more innovative, such as hosting movies set as a promotion tool.

Lastly, the group participated in a study visit of Macerata’s most important cultural sites, starting with the Mozzi Borgetti Library, which contains the books that are being digitized as part of the Adrinetbook Project.

The Study Visit was the chance to finally meet with the Project Partners and to share experiences and best practices to boost the Adrinetbook activities.

During the study visit the partners agreed to meet again as soon as possible, giving the pandemic situation we are still living.
